I guess he's closing his blog.  ;_;

Not like he updated much lately, but it was nice for him to have a blog and see his thoughts sometimes.  It was nice to see him mention Den-O in his goodbye message though.

Maybe this official site/Takeru TV plan will work?  I liked the one Takeru TV they did before.

Popular models to star in film adaptation of comedy manga "Soul of Rock" to open February 2012

A film adapation of the gag comic Soul of Rock (whose 3 main characters form a slightly strange rock band called "Bamiyans") starring popular Seventeen model Mayuko Arisue, and popular young actors Asaya Kimijima and Tetsuya Makita, will open in early February 2012.  The original comic by Nisekunico was published in Feel young and recieved rave reviews by George Asakura, author of Heibon Punch.

In the role of Reika, Arisue has recently recieved a great deal of notice playing a gorgeous secretary in Kamen Rider OOO as well as appearing in the film Hai! Moshimoshi, Ohtsuka Yakkyoku desu ga on top of her modeling activities.  Kimijima, playing Zaki, also gained popularity by appearing in Kamen Rider OOO, and the role of the band's leader Taku will be played by D-BOYS member Tetsuya Makita.  Also appearing in the film are Dandy Sakano and Kota Kusano.

Soul of Rock is planned to premiere in early February 2012 at the Shibuya Auditorium.

Shu Watanabe & Ryosuke Miura to star in the first "Hero Next" movie

Toei, the company that makes the popular Kamen Rider and Super Sentai series, has revealed the start of a new project, "Toei Hero Next," using the actors that have starred in those series.  PIECE ~Kioku no Kakera~ (directed by Ten Shimoyama) is the first film and features Shu Watanabe (20) and Ryosuke Miura (25) who starred in the popular Kamen Rider OOO.  From now on, the series will feature young actors who have graduated from Toei's tokusatsu series.


"Toei Hero Next" is a project to show a new side of the young actors.  The first actors selected were the stars of Kamen Rider OOO.  The main character, Eiji Hino (Watanabe), transformed into Kamen Rider OOO, and his partner, Ankh (Miura), was a monster.  In the show the two of them presented themselves as superb partners.  In PIECE, Watanabe plays a freelance reporter and Miura a cameraman with five personalities.  They pursue a mystery in this science-fiction suspense story.

Without using a transformation belt or finishing off enemies, this is a showdown of acting abilities.  Watanabe said, "I'm good friends with Ryosuke and see him all the time in my off-time, but this time we're rivals.  It's a different kind of feeling."  "He [Watanabe] is only 20, but he's growing up," Miura responded with a large smile.

Toei television producer and head of the Toei Tokyo filming studio Shinichiro Shirakura explained, "When their show is over, it's absurd to just say 'Okay, bye.'  If only there were a way to show another side of those hero show actors...."  From now on, the series will use not only actors from recent Kamen Rider and Super Sentai  series, but also those from the past.

Shimoyama, known for directing the films Innocent World and Shinobi as well as the Kamen Rider OOO related music videos "Anything Goes!" and "Te o Tsunagou ~Matsuken x Kamen Rider Samba~", commented, "I want to film the side of those two that they only show in private."  PIECE opens nationwide in September, DVD rental begins 
on November 9 and goes on sale November 21.

Eitoku injured

During rehearsals on August 23, Eitoku got injured during rehearsals for Tiger & Bunny The Live.  He will therefore no longer be able to do the suit work for Sky High--they'll get a replacement--but will still go on as Keith Goodman.  He says on Twitter that he'll be okay (1, 2) but I still worry.  ;_;

Update: Posters on Twitter and 2ch say it's just a sprain and he's all right.  It's good to hear!

Update 2: After a couple of days he went back to the doctor, who put a stop to further performances.  Get well soon!

The pictures look pretty convincing to me. The article says they went to a party at an expensive karaoke place and she got too drunk so he took her home. I haven't read the entire thing yet.

Genya (JAE) commits suicide, found by Taichi Saotome

  The December 25 issue of Josei Seven revealed that actor Genya (real name Genya Nakamura (中村玄也)), age 23, committed suicide on November 22 in his home. He was found that afternoon by friend and fellow actor Taichi Saotome (早乙女太一).  Genya had worked for Japan Action Enterprise (JAE) as a stuntman and suit actor, primarily as villains in the Super Sentai and Kamen Rider series, but he had also been active in theater (notably Gekidan EXILE) and television.
nbsp;A suicide note was found at the site.  Genya had written it as a last will and testament, and in the letter exposed unexpressed frustrations and spelled out his despair with life.
  Saotome said, "I wish I could have talked with him more, listened to him more.  If I had, I might have been able to save him."  He had tried to call Genya's phone several times on the 22nd and recieved no answer, so he went to his home in the afternoon.  When Saotome arrived Genya had already stopped breathing.  They had eaten dinner together the night before, where Genya had said, "I'm going to die tomorrow morning, so I want you to call the police at about 9."  However, since the party had been drinking heavily, this was not taken seriously as a suicide threat.
  Genya had been dating model and actress Sumire (real name: Sumire Matsubara (松原すみれ)) since March, when they met  during rehearsals for the play GOEMON (starring Saotome), and she had introduced him to her parents Junichi Ishida (石田純一) and Chiaki Matsubara (松原千明), also actors.  Genya and Sumire had taken a trip to Hawaii in June.  Starting in August, however, they had begun to have many disagreements, and they broke up after she began another play in September.
  Sumire attended Genya's memorial service in tears.  She had been working in Hawaii when she found out, and had been so distraught that she had had to rely upon her mother to help her to the airport and return to Japan.  On the reason for his suicide, she said, "Maybe it's because we broke up?  I don't know, only he knew, now nobody can know."  Her agency added, "That may be true.  Sumire is still sorting out her feelings, and there is nothing she can do except keep going."  Genya's agency (JAE) commented, "While it is true that he committed suicide, we cannot comment any further."  His profile was erased from their homepage at around noon on December 25.
