A film adapation of the gag comic Soul of Rock (whose 3 main characters form a slightly strange rock band called "Bamiyans") starring popular Seventeen model Mayuko Arisue, and popular young actors Asaya Kimijima and Tetsuya Makita, will open in early February 2012. The original comic by Nisekunico was published in Feel young and recieved rave reviews by George Asakura, author of Heibon Punch.
In the role of Reika, Arisue has recently recieved a great deal of notice playing a gorgeous secretary in Kamen Rider OOO as well as appearing in the film Hai! Moshimoshi, Ohtsuka Yakkyoku desu ga on top of her modeling activities. Kimijima, playing Zaki, also gained popularity by appearing in Kamen Rider OOO, and the role of the band's leader Taku will be played by D-BOYS member Tetsuya Makita. Also appearing in the film are Dandy Sakano and Kota Kusano.
Soul of Rock is planned to premiere in early February 2012 at the Shibuya Auditorium.
